I saw some of these mock-ups and certainly i will pay for alternatives like elementary os instead of non unix-like os, your work looks great and i hope it will be developed in a short time, my suggestion is "get focus on productivity apps" like libre office, gimp, calibre, octave. When linux community understand that apps like office, photoshop, autocad, matlab are making us slaves of proprietary software and develop alternatives usefull, fully featured and beautifull like your community propose, a gross of windows and mac users will come to linux.
I'm wondering about scrollbars, this is one of the few mockups around that has some thought on them. Do you have anything to add about it?
I was thinking the thumb could be always visible, transparent background over the window content, and the trough it self would only show on hover, both becoming opaque (at least the thumb). I'm trying to work a solution for the Firefox theme, they're too thin on non GTK apps.
This is so much better looking than actual Inkscape it almost makes me upset. How can their UI design be neglected for so long? The people involved with Elementary OS take nearly all the best ideas from all of the OS's. This fits beautifully. Finally a Linux group that gets it.
